My artistic journey has seen me gathering ideas like jewels since childhood. I'm influenced strongly by the world around me, particularly natural forms and otherworldly subjects including mythology and storytelling. Ideas can come from a passage in a book, the way a tree stretches up to the sky, the light on the sea, the shapes of clouds or the feeling you get curling up by the fire on a stormy winters night. My aim is to capture the essence of a subject, I use a mixture of mediums to translate my ideas into artwork. I love the idea that every piece has its own story.
